What is there, and what is not

Two tools set cookies on this site, from your arrival and unless you decline them: Google Analytics, to know which pages are read and how people reach us, and the Meta pixel, to measure which ads on Facebook and Instagram bring visitors, and to show our ads to people who came here.

There is nothing else. In particular:

• no ads are shown on this site;
• no retargeting tool and no ad network other than the Meta pixel;
• no share button to a social network, no embedded video, no interactive map. These elements almost always set trackers, and we do without them;
• no font and no library loaded from a third-party server. Everything is hosted with us;
• your measurement data is neither sold nor cross-referenced with a commercial file.

Active from arrival, and declinable at any time

Google Analytics and the Meta pixel load as soon as you arrive on the site, without asking first. You can decline one, the other or both at any time through the ‘Change my choice’ link below: the declined script is stopped, its cookies are erased (_ga, _fbp, _fbc), and it no longer loads on any page.

If you refuse, the site works exactly the same. No functionality is reserved for those who accept.

Measurement ID: G-E0SXJK45HP. These names and durations are the ones documented by Google; they may change as a result of its own decisions.

Meta dataset: 1401042051594766. The names and lifetimes of _fbp and _fbc are those documented by Meta; Meta may change them.

What Google receives

The pages viewed, the time, the page you come from, the type of device and browser, and an approximate location deduced from the IP address. We have access only to aggregated statistics, never to a list of individuals.

Google Analytics is a service of Google LLC, established in the United States. The transfer is framed by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, to which Google LLC is certified, and by the standard contractual clauses. This is information you are entitled to have, and one more reason you can decline the tool, below.

What Meta receives

The address of the pages you view, a click on a sign-up button, the time, your IP address, the type of device and browser, and the identifier in the _fbp cookie. If you are logged in to Facebook or Instagram in this browser, Meta may link this information to your account. We send Meta no name, no address and no email address: automatic form matching is switched off.

For the collection and transmission of this data by the pixel, ZIXAR and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited are joint controllers (Court of Justice of the European Union, Fashion ID judgment, C-40/17, 29 July 2019). What Meta does with it afterwards is its sole responsibility, under its own privacy policy.

Meta may process this data in the United States, at Meta Platforms, Inc., certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and on the basis of the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. You can also limit ads in the ad settings of your Facebook or Instagram account.

The choice, and how to change it

If you decline, your answer is kept in the local storage of your browser, not in a cookie. It serves to stop loading what you declined, on every page.

Change my choice opens a window showing what is active, and you decline everything, or tool by tool. Going back on a refusal happens in the same place.

You can also delete the cookies from your browser settings, or install the opt-out add-on that Google publishes for its own tools.

The contact form

It works without a cookie. Its anti-robot protection rests on a calculation carried out in your browser, with no file set and no call to an external service, which avoids systems of the captcha type that pass your browsing data on to a foreign operator.
